#SIMICHANGE

How do you get progressive candidates elected in the most conservative city in Ventura County? Volunteer activists who wanted to change the composition of the Simi Valley City Council needed to provide that answer. They formed a coalition called #SimiChange. Members on the ground put together logos, a website, a Facebook page and fundraisers.
 
The members of #SimiChange knew odds were against them in trying to put progressive candidates in three city council seats, one of which was the mayor. Having dealt with civic matters before in Simi Valley, the group called on Nicolette A. Muñoz Consulting to provide support in digital marketing to help get their message out.

Ruth Luevanos Elected!

Despite being in the most conservative city in Ventura County, #SimiChange activists along with a coalition of other progressive citizens helped elect Ruth Luevanos to the Simi Valley City Council.
